Summer Provider Relations Intern
The Early Learning Coalition of the Big Bend Region (ELC) is a private, not-for-profit organization that provides services to families, children, and childcare providers in the seven counties that comprise northern Florida’s Big Bend Region: Gadsden, Jefferson, Leon, Liberty, Madison, Taylor, and Wakulla.
ELC seeks dynamic students who want hands-on internship experience to support the organization.
Important Facts:
- Internship positions are scheduled for at least 12 hours per week and the ELC is flexible with scheduling intern hours around class schedules
- This position will receive a stipend
Criminal background screening is required and ELC participates in the E-Verify system
Qualifications:
- Junior, Senior, or Graduate-level classification in Education or Human Service or related field
- Proficiency in MS Office suite
- The candidate should have strong MS Office skills, excellent written and verbal communication skills, be a team player, be detail-oriented, and be able to handle multiple projects simultaneously
- Minimum GPA of 3.0
Duties:
- Assist with the management of provider eligibility, enrollment, and maintenance within the School Readiness (SR) and Voluntary Pre-Kindergarten (VPK) programs
- Provide both remote and on-site technical assistance to providers catering to SR & VPK children
- Ensure timely completion of annual Provider Profiles
- Assist with the recruitment of new providers
- Assist with the management of provider relations emails and phone calls
- Perform additional duties as assigned
