Uno de los componentes clave para crear y mantener un programa de cuidado infantil de calidad es brindarles a los maestros de la primera infancia el apoyo, la educación y los recursos necesarios para tener éxito en el salón de clases. El ELC brinda una variedad de oportunidades de desarrollo profesional y servicios de apoyo a los maestros de la primera infancia. Nuestro objetivo es promover la preparación escolar y mejorar los resultados de aprendizaje de los niños pequeños al proporcionar desarrollo profesional actualizado y de alta calidad. Estas oportunidades mejoran el conocimiento y las habilidades de los educadores y cuidadores de la primera infancia.
Virtual Workshops
ELC 2791 – Leaf Man: Exploring Nature through Play & Learning!
This engaging, hands-on course uses the children’s book Leaf Man by Lois Ehlert to help young children explore nature, creativity, early literacy, science, and learning through play.
Children will listen to the story, observe leaves and other natural materials, and create their own leaf characters and pictures. Through playful activities, children will practice language development, counting, sorting, matching, describing, fine-motor skills, creativity, and problem-solving.
- 15 Hours, or 1.5 CEUs (cost for CEUs: $28.00)
- Target Audience – VPK and PreK Educators

ELC 3500: The Six Key Pillars of Resilience in Young Children!
Each young child has their own path and travels their own unique road through life. A range of factors shapes their road, including temperament, educational experiences, family style and values, and the culture in which they live. As educators, you can foster their resilience through the educational curriculum. In this course, we will examine how the classroom environment plays a significant role in building resilience, as well as the role of curriculum and interactions with educators, friends, and families.
