El ELC brinda una variedad de oportunidades de desarrollo profesional y servicios de apoyo a los maestros de la primera infancia. Nuestro objetivo es promover la preparación escolar y mejorar los resultados de aprendizaje de los niños pequeños al proporcionar desarrollo profesional actualizado y de alta calidad. Estas oportunidades mejoran el conocimiento y las habilidades de los educadores y cuidadores de la primera infancia.

ELC 3007-4 Building STEM Skills Through Tinkering
It all comes together when teachers invite children to learn using a unique approach to social distancing. In this course, you will learn how to set up learning spaces using tinkering trays. When teachers set up learning spaces using tinkering trays, they create an opportunity for children to make choices based on their own curiosity and sense of wonder. Art, science, math, language, pre-writing, and more ideas will be shown in this highly visual course. Join us for this hands-on experience. The children will enjoy each experience you set up for them using materials you have in your classroom.

ELC 2027-5 The Foundations of Creating Calming Environments for Infants & Toddlers!
Infant and Toddler teachers have one of the most important positions in early childhood programs!
Nurturing, calming environments are necessary for teachers, children, and families. The environment affects a child’s mood and behavior. As the teacher, you set the stage for the environment. The physical environment must meet their needs and invite the young child to explore, investigate, and play.
This course will focus on the teacher/child interactions and designing a physical space that nurtures infants and toddlers, and teachers, too.

ELC 4027 – 6 A Basket Full of Letters, Sounds and Words!
This course provides practitioners with an overview of the importance of Curriculum, Screening, and Assessment. Each of the three areas – Curriculum, Screening, and Assessment are defined, discussed, and put into practice in this course. Practitioners will have the opportunity to gain skills and knowledge in learning why this is so important in educating our Young Children and the impact YOU are having using these tools.
