Provider Monitoring Associate (Temporary)

Position Summary:

This position is responsible for conducting on-site and desk monitoring of School Readiness (SR) and Voluntary Prekindergarten (VPK) to ensure compliance with Florida law, Division of Early Learning (DEL) requirements, and ELC policies.

Primary Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Perform annual file and onsite monitoring to ensure SR and VPK provider contract compliance
  • Record observations and prepare written monitoring reports following each visit
  • Highlight key issues, corrective actions, and recommendations in monitoring documentation
  • Use standardized templates to ensure consistency in documentation and reporting
  • Provide technical assistance with monitoring and contract requirements
  • Participate in structured peer review activities to evaluate work quality, ensure consistency, and support continuous improvement across the team
  • Responsible for ensuring appropriate use of all resources by immediately reporting suspected fraud (Internal and/or external) via ELC-established Fraud Reporting Procedure
  • Participate as directed in all ELC quality improvement efforts to achieve optimum organizational performance
  • Contact the Abuse Hotline immediately in the event an allegation of abuse, neglect, or exploitation is received and notify a manager immediately
  • Perform other job duties as assigned
Requisitos mínimos de educación y experiencia:
  • Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree and 2 years of experience in private or public sector social/human services program administration required; or
  • High School diploma or equivalent and 4 years of experience in social/human services program administration
  • A general understanding of contract management and monitoring procedures preferred
  • An understanding of childcare programs, early childhood education, social service issues, community action programs, and serving low-income communities is preferred

  • Excellent customer service, organizational and communication skills (verbal and written)
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to work independently and collaboratively with colleagues and others of varying backgrounds and skill levels to achieve program goals
  • Excellent computer skills and experience with Microsoft Office Suite products
  • Ability to manage multiple projects, follow through, and meet deadlines
