Call for 2026 Early Learning Conference Keynote and Breakout Session Speakers  (CFS.2025.2026-0001)

The Early Learning Coalition of the Big Bend Region, Inc. (ELC) is excited to announce our 2026 Early Learning Conference: Magical Minds — Unlocking the Power of Imaginative Play, a one-day event dedicated to celebrating and strengthening the role of creativity and dramatic play in early childhood education. The conference will take place on Saturday, April 11, 2026, at the Florida State Turnbull Conference Center in Tallahassee, Florida.

We seek passionate keynote speakers and breakout session presenters who can share research-based insights, practical tools, and inspiring approaches that align with this year’s theme. Magical Minds invites educators, providers, and caregivers to rediscover the transformative power of imagination; how storytelling, roleplay, and make-believe experiences spark learning, connection, and lifelong curiosity in children aged birth to five.

Organization Information

ELC was originally incorporated as the Leon School Readiness Coalition in 2001, as required by the School Readiness Act of 1999 (F.S. 411.01) and operates as a not-for-profit corporation. In response to legislative requirements, ELC has gone through several transitions, mergers as well as name changes, and expanded its service area in 2005 to encompass the seven counties it serves today.

Headquartered in Tallahassee, Florida, ELC currently has 48 employees and proudly serves Gadsden, Jefferson, Leon, Liberty, Madison, Taylor, and Wakulla counties. A contracted partner with the Florida Department of Education’s (DOE) Division of Early Learning (DEL), ELC is responsible for the administration of the School Readiness (SR) and Voluntary Prekindergarten (VPK) programs.
