In this role, you will provide essential administrative support to the Program team, ensuring a seamless customer service experience for the families we serve. This position reports directly to the Gerente de Servicios Familiares and plays a key role in supporting our mission.

- Fluent in both spoken and written English & Spanish
- High school diploma or equivalent; associate degree preferred
- 1-2 years prior experience in customer service or working in a social/human services program, required
- An understanding of child care programs, early childhood education, social service issues, community action programs, and serving low-income communities, preferred

- Proficiency with Microsoft Office products, web-based programs and databases

- Ability to apply knowledge and understanding of rules, regulations and ELC policies and procedures and practices
- Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing, including providing technical programmatic information to a nontechnical audience
- Ability to follow-through on commitments including deadlines
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively with individuals of varying backgrounds and skill levels to achieve goals
- Ability to follow instructions and comply with and support the organization’s policies and procedures
- Must exhibit a positive attitude and an example to others in the areas of problem-solving, teamwork, interpersonal relationships, support of management decisions and commitment to ELC’s mission and vision
What You Will Do (Summary):
- Maintain working knowledge of and adherence to all applicable rules, regulations, and ELC policies, procedures, and practices.
- Provide comprehensive CCR&R to customers when needed and requested
- Work with other ELC service centers, departments, and other agencies to ensure a coordinated approach to customer service and to the ELC’s mission
- Ensure parent resource equipment is in optimal working order and timely report problems to the Helpdesk
- Manage the reception area and provide effective telephone and in-person communication to maintain a professional image, handle customer flow and create a positive first impression of the ELC
- Maintain a clean and welcoming environment for families
- Maintain an attractive and interactive play area and current CCR&R materials that are readily accessible
- Receive and respond to customer inquiries and forward to colleagues as needed
- Answer customer inquiries and assist customers timely and correctly with applying for the School Readiness (SR), Voluntary Prekindergarten (VPK), and Child Care Resource and Referral (CCR&R) programs
- Provide technical assistance to customers working in the Family Portal
- Perform clerical duties accurately and timely
- Track customer traffic for in-person, phone, and internet inquires
- Maintain and document the distribution of word garden books
- Participate in a minimum of two ELC Outreach activities and/or events within the fiscal year
- Report suspected fraud (internal and/or external) via ELC-established Fraud Reporting Procedure
- Participate as directed in all ELC quality improvement efforts to achieve optimum organizational performance
- Contact a manager immediately in the event an allegation of abuse, neglect, or exploitation is received
- Perform other job duties as assigned

Position: Full-time
Rango salarial: $36,000 -$38,000
Benefits: This is a full-time position that includes the following benefits: health insurance, dental, vision, flexible paid time off, retirement savings plan and loan forgiveness eligible employer, etc.
