2026 Provider Awards Nominations
The Early Learning Coalition of the Big Bend Region, Inc. (ELC) is excited to announce our inaugural Provider Awards to be held Saturday, April 11th, during the 2026 Early Learning Conference, “Magical Minds”. Please see a description of each award below. Dr. Tara Lynne Orlowski Award
Named in memory of Dr. Tara Lynne Orlowski, ELC former board chair, this award honors a child care professional who demonstrates exceptional passion, leadership, and dedication to advancing the quality of early childhood education. The recipient consistently goes above and beyond to advocate for children, families, and the early learning community.
Child Care Center of the Year
This award honors a licensed child care center that demonstrates excellence in service, innovation in programming, and a strong commitment to child development, staff well-being, and family engagement.
Family Child Care Home of the Year
This award recognizes an outstanding family home childcare provider who delivers high-quality early learning experiences in a nurturing, home-based setting. The recipient models best practices in care, communication, and community support.
For primary consideration, submit your completed nominations no later than 11:59 PM EST on January 15, 2026. (Please submit a separate nomination form for each educator and/or child care facility you would like to nominate.) Submissions received after this date and time will only be considered on an as-needed basis.
