DESCRIPTION:Course Dates – July 7 – August 5\, 2022\n10 Hours In-Service\, no fee\nTarget Audience Target Audience Toddler\, Pre-K & VPK Teachers\nRegistration open from June 21 – July 7\, 2022\n\nGuiding children’s behavior is very important and teachers guide children throughout the day\, not just when a child acts in a way that is unsafe or unacceptable.  It is important that you guide behavior by establishing predictable developmentally appropriate rituals\, routines and set clear positively stated rules with children.  It is also your responsibility to teach and model kindness\, respect\, caring and responsibility.  Children can do this with support of an attentive and aware teacher\, who has “with-it-ness.”  Together\, these actions help children feel noticed\, confident\, and secure. Children look to you to set limits\, keep them safe and know you’re on their team. SUMMARY:RUN ELC: Track to the Future
DESCRIPTION:Run ELC is a charity Race for Readiness in which registrants can participate in either a 5K and/or a 1 Mile Kid fun run or warm up run. This family-friendly community run is hosted by the Early Learning Coalition of the Big Bend Region and is open to all runners\, joggers\, and walkers to enjoy a healthy\, fun-filled event while supporting Early Childhood Education and Early Literacy as our mission is to “Provide leadership and advocacy that builds a community where all children are prepared for success in school. \n*Strollers are permitted on the course. Pets are not permitted. \nREASONABLE ACCOMDATIONS NOTICE: If a person with a disability requires an accommodation to participate\, requests should be made to the event coordinator seventy-two (72) hours prior to the event. \nCOURSE: This is a certified 5K course that has many flat sections with a few slopes and a roundabout. The run will start at Railroad Marketplace and run through the St. Marks trail and back. \nTIME LIMIT: The 5K= 1 hour and 15 minutes and the 1 Mile Fun Run/Warm Up= 25 minutes. Any participant still on the course after the time limit is reached will be asked to vacate the course. \nAWARDS: 1st\, 2nd and 3rd place awards will be given and participation medals will be given to all other runners \nREFUND POLICY: All registrations are final
