The ELC has a diverse Board of Directors which includes both public and private members. Stacey Duggar is a local child care provider and provider representative on the board. As a member of our board, her primary duty is to be the voice of providers in our area. While you are always welcome to contact the ELC directly, your board representatives are an additional resource to ask questions and share information with.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Stacey Duggar<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n Stacey Duggar has rejoined the Board of Directors as the Representative of Faith-Based Child Care Providers having previously served in this position from 2015-2019. Stacey is also on the Board for the Christian Preschool Association (formerly known as the United Methodist Association of Preschools). She holds a Bachelor of Arts from The Florida State University.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Stacey began her career early childhood at a very early age! Her parents owned and operated a childcare center in Lauderdale Lakes, FL and she worked alongside them throughout her high school years and when on break from college. After graduating from FSU, she worked as the Program Coordinator for the Seminole County YMCA and then as the Director of Recreation at South Seas Resort on Captiva Island, where she coordinated all of the children\u2019s activities. Eventually, she wound up back in Tallahassee where she began working at Trinity United Methodist Church Preschool as a two and three-year-old teacher before accepting the position of Preschool Director there in 2004. After 28 years at Trinity United Methodist Preschool, she is now the Director of the Preschool at Killearn Methodist Church.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Every job she has held has involved working with children and she has dedicated her professional life on the betterment of early education and care.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Cynthia James<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n Cynthia James has devoted her career to early childhood education since 1998. She began as a registered family childcare provider and later became a licensed home operator, running a large family childcare home. In 2016, Cynthia and her husband opened their own childcare center, expanding their mission to provide nurturing, high-quality care for children and families in their community.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Cynthia holds her FCCPC certification and has completed college coursework toward a degree in Early Childhood Education. She has also taught Department of Children and Families (DCF) required courses, helping other providers meet professional standards and strengthen their programs. Her leadership extends beyond early learning; Cynthia served on the Greenville City Council as both a board member and assistant mayor, demonstrating her commitment to community service and advocacy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Throughout her career, Cynthia has remained passionate about fostering growth, learning, and development in young children, and she continues to champion excellence in early care and education.<\/p>\n\n\n\n <\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":" The ELC has a diverse Board of Directors which includes both public and private members.
