The Board of Directors is comprised of public and private sector community representatives from each of the seven counties of the Big Bend Region, including, Leon, Jefferson, Madison, Gadsden, Wakulla, Liberty, and Taylor County. The ELC Board of Directors is responsible for the oversight and effective implementation of the School Readiness and VPK Programs under Section 411.01, Florida Statutes, School Readiness Act, and Chapter 1002, Florida Statutes, VPK Act.
