{"id":4471,"date":"2026-06-10T17:41:08","date_gmt":"2026-06-10T21:41:08","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/elcbigbend.org\/?post_type=employment&#038;p=4471"},"modified":"2026-06-10T17:41:09","modified_gmt":"2026-06-10T21:41:09","slug":"early-care-and-education-specialist-2","status":"publish","type":"employment","link":"https:\/\/elcbigbend.org\/es\/employment\/early-care-and-education-specialist-2\/","title":{"rendered":"Early Care and Education\u00a0Specialist"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>We are in the business of children!<\/strong>&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">We\u2019re&nbsp;looking to add a&nbsp;hardworking&nbsp;<strong>Early Care and Education&nbsp;Specialist&nbsp;<\/strong>to our team.&nbsp;This&nbsp;position&nbsp;is responsible for&nbsp;providing support services&nbsp;for intervention&nbsp;and quality.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Minimum Qualifications<\/strong>&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Bachelor\u2019s or associate\u202fdegree and two (2)\u202fyears\u2019 experience\u202fin\u202fearly childhood education, human services\u00a0program\u00a0or related field\u00a0or\u202f\u202f\u00a0<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>High School diploma or equivalent and four (4) years relevant work experience\u202fin\u202fearly childhood education, human services program or related field\u202frequired\u202f\u00a0<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>One\u00a0year\u2019s\u00a0experience working as an administrator or teacher within an early childhood setting preferred\u202f\u202f\u00a0<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Two\u202fyears\u2019 experience\u202fcreating and delivering group and individualized instruction preferred\u202f\u00a0<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Experience working with special needs children preferred\u202f\u00a0<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>An understanding of\u202fchild care\u202fprograms, early childhood education, social service issues, community action programs, and serving low-income communities\u202f\u00a0<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Complete and become certified in at least one Infant,\u202fToddler\u202fand\/or PreK CLASS\u202ftool within\u202f90 days\u202fof hire\u202f\u202f\u00a0<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Complete Child Assessment, Teacher Assessment, Coaching certification within\u202fone\u202fyear of hire\u202f\u00a0<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>What You Will Do (Summary):<\/strong>&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Administer\u202fchild screenings\/assessments\u202fon School Readiness\u202fparticipants\u202f\u202f\u00a0<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Administer\u202fprogram assessments\u202fin\u202fSchool Readiness and Voluntary\u202fPrekindergarten\u202f(VPK)\u202fprovider classrooms\u202f\u00a0<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Assist\u202fwith\u202fdetermining\u202fappropriate early\u202fintervention services for all\u202fSchool Readiness\u202fand VPK\u202fchildren, including\u202fWarm Line referrals\u202f\u202f\u00a0<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Assist\u202fwith\u202finputting,\u202fcollecting,\u202fand\u202fanalyzing\u202fdata to\u202fidentify\u202femerging trends and training needs for\u202fthe\u202fELC\u2019s providers\u202fand families\u202f\u00a0<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Provide\u202frecommendations to the ECE Manager\u202ffor\u202fchildren with concerns\u202fwho\u202fELC\u202fwill\u202frefer to\u202fother early intervention agencies\u202f\u202f\u00a0<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Develop and implement\u202fprofessional development opportunities,\u202fspecial events,\u202fconferences\u202fand forums for\u202fproviders\u202f\u00a0<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Provide TA and Coaching to early childhood educators and parents as needed.\u202f\u202f\u00a0<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Maintain knowledge of law, policies &amp; procedures\u202f\u00a0<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Deliver services and provide\u202ftimely\u202ffollow-up\u202f\u202f\u202fin accordance with\u202flaw\u202f\u00a0<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Assist\u202fwith compiling resources, creating packets, and arranging resource areas for parents and providers throughout the\u202fseven-county\u202farea\u202f\u00a0<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Assist\u202fwith internal and external audits to ensure accuracy and compliance\u202f\u202f\u202f\u00a0<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Participate in structured peer review activities to evaluate work quality, ensure consistency, and support continuous improvement across the team\u202f\u00a0<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Participate in a minimum of two ELC outreach events and\/or activities each fiscal year\u202f\u202f\u00a0<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Responsible for ensuring\u202fappropriate use\u202fof all resources by\u202fimmediately\u202freporting suspected fraud (Internal and\/or external) via\u202fELC-established\u202fFraud Reporting Procedure\u202f\u00a0<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Participate as directed in all ELC quality improvement efforts to achieve\u202foptimum\u202forganizational performance\u202f\u00a0<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Contact the Abuse Hotline\u202fimmediately\u202fin the event an allegation of abuse, neglect, or exploitation is received and notify a\u202fmanager\u202fimmediately\u202f\u202f\u00a0<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>About Us:<\/strong>\u202f&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Early Learning Coalition of the Big Bend Region, Inc.
