Board Members

The Early Learning Coalition of the Big Bend Region is a private, not-for-profit organization that is governed by a voluntary board . Some board positions are reserved for statutorily required members, as stated in F.S. 411. Additional seats are available for private sector members from each of the seven counties served by the Coalition.

The Board of Directors is a dedicated group of volunteers who meet regularly to discuss Coalition business, review reports, vote on policy and programmatic recommendations, and discuss early education issues in the Big Bend Region. The current Board Chair, Chris L. Jensen, Jr. was appointed by the governor to serve as the chair for the 2005-2008 term. Chris L. Jensen, Jr. continues to serve as the Board Chair for the Early Learning Coalition of the Big Bend Region.
